Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming education by enabling personalized learning, adaptive feedback, and intelligent tutoring systems. This research paper examines the impact of AI on students’ learning behaviour and motivation, drawing on existing empirical studies, systematic reviews and theoretical frameworks. Through a synthesis of literature and analysis of key findings, the paper highlights positive effects such as increased engagement, self-regulated learning, and intrinsic motivation via personalization and real-time support. However, challenges including over-reliance reduced critical thinking, privacy concerns and potential declines in autonomy are also addressed. The study underscores the need for balanced, ethical integration of AI to maximize benefits while mitigating risks. Recommendations for Educators, Policymakers and Developers are provided to foster responsible AI use in educational settings.
