Abstract:
India is country with wide variety of communities spread across. Each community has its own rich heritage and traditions. Tribal Community or Scheduled Tribe or Aadivasi is one of them. These Tribal people are heart of the forest and they play an important role in maintaining the eco-balance of nature. These people are residing in the deep and rural part of forest where they do not get the primary facilities related to health, education, transport and other facilities. Thus, they are away from the modern part of India. This paper has shed light on the lifestyle of Tribal Communities residing in the Khandesh region which includes Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar Districts of North Maharashtra region. It has carried out the study of Attire or cloth wearing habits, foods, ornaments used by these people and their socio-economic status. It has been observed that, till today these peoples are away from the modern part of India.
