Abstract:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies are increasingly influencing various dimensions of society, including the identification, analysis, and resolution of complex social issues. From healthcare and education to poverty alleviation and social welfare administration, AI-driven tools are transforming traditional approaches to social problem-solving. This study critically examines the impact of AI technologies on key social issues and explores their implications for social work practice. It highlights the potential benefits of AI, such as enhanced efficiency, predictive analytics, improved service delivery, and data-driven decision-making. At the same time, the paper addresses critical concerns including algorithmic bias, data privacy, ethical dilemmas, and the widening digital divide. The research adopts a descriptive and analytical approach, drawing upon both primary and secondary data sources to understand how AI is reshaping the role of social workers and influencing intervention strategies. The findings suggest that while AI offers innovative opportunities for addressing social challenges, its integration into social work must be carefully managed to uphold professional ethics, human dignity, and social justice. The study concludes by recommending a balanced approach that combines technological advancement with human-centered values, ensuring that AI serves as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for professional social work practice.
